The disturbing link between psychiatric illness and accelerated aging
This study shows a clear correlation between psychopathology, and the rate of aging. This relationship was evident by 45 years old. At that point, those who scored in the top 10% of the psychopathology factor had aged approximately 5.3 years more than those who scored in the bottom 10%.
