Unraveling The Mystery of Human Chromosome Telomeres

Human Chromosome Telomeres

Telomeres are the loops at the end of each eukaryotic cell chromosome. This loop is made up of highly repetitive DNA sequences, and binding proteins that protect the chromosome’s end. Loss of one or more telomeres may lead to senescence, or even anueploidy. Cells must therefore carefully repair themselves.
