As we age, our mental abilities diminish. For those with neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s disease, cognitive decline is often accompanied by mood disorders like anxiety. To combat cognitive decline and anxiety, one way would be to stimulate the production of new neurons.
