Dogs to receive anti-aging gene therapy this fall
In a May article, we discussed how Rejuvenate Bio was planning to reverse the aging of dogs in order to bring these therapies to humans. These plans are moving forward now with the news that a clinical trial will be launched in the fall of this year.
The first step is to develop anti-aging therapy for dogs
In 2015, the Church Lab at Harvard began testing CRISPR gene editing technology, which was easier to use and quicker than older methods. Professor Church and his team have since conducted many experiments and collected a lot of data to help plan future strategies against aging.
