Reactivating aged neural stem cells to improve memory function

Reactivating stem cells that have aged in the brain

As we age, our neural stem cells become less able to multiply and produce new neuronal tissue, which leads to a decline of memory. Researchers from the University of Zurich discovered a mechanism that is linked to stem cell ageing, and how production of neurons can reactivated.
