MitoMouse Project Achieves Initial Fundraising Goal Bringing Mitochondrial Repair Therapies Closer to Human Translation

The MitoMouse Project has exceeded its initial fundraising goal!
The MitoMouse Project has reached its first goal of $50k and is on track to reach the second stretch goal. The project will now be launched in the lab, and the MitoMouse will be created.

This ambitious project will now move on to create a model of mitochondrial repair using SickMices and MitoMices. The approach has been proven to be effective in living cells. The success of this project would validate mitochondrial repair therapy, and bring the therapy closer to human translation. Dr. Amutha Boominathan is the leader of SENS Research Foundation’s MitoMouse Project. She will tell you more about the project’s first stretch goal.
