Interview with Prof. S. Jay Olshansky

Prof. S. Jay Olshansky, is a Professor of Public Health at University of Illinois at Chicago, a Research Associate at Center on Aging at University of Chicago and at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and the Chief Scientist at Lapetus Solutions, Inc. He has won numerous scientific awards including the Irving S. Wright Award by the American Federation for Aging Research.

Prof. Olshansky has co-authored multiple papers in the fields of epidemiology and populations. His current research includes estimates of human longevity limits, challenges and opportunities related to the aging of population, changes in morbidity over time and projections of population size and age demographics with and without drugs that target the underlying mechanisms for aging.

We were able to interview Professor Olshansky during the International Perspectives in Geroscience conference, which was held at Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel on September 4 and 5.
