David Sinclair (VIDEO).
David A. Sinclair Ph.D. A.O. David A. Sinclair, Ph.D., A.O. is a biologist from Australia and Professor at the Department of Genetics. He also serves as co-director of the Paul F. Glenn Center for the Biology of Aging in Harvard Medical School. His work is known for helping to understand why we age, and how it can be slowed. He received his Ph.D. from the University of New South Wales in Sydney and the Australian Commonwealth Prize. He received a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, then worked with Leonard Guarente as a postdoctoral research fellow. He has been a tenured Professor in the Genetics Department at Harvard Medical School since 1999.
Dr. Sinclair has co-founded several biotechnology firms (Sirtris Ovascience Genocea Cohbar MetroBiotech ArcBio Liberty Biosecurity), and he is on several other boards. He is co-founder and editor-in-chief of the journal Aging. His work has been featured in several media, including five books, two documentaries, 60 Minutes and Morgan Freeman’s film \”Through the Wormhole\”.
